In-person NFIP Risk Rating 2.0 Insurance Agent Training
3 hours of Free Insurance CE credits provided
Training is provided by the Utah Insurance Commissioner, Jon Pike, Utah’s Floodplain Program, & FEMA’s Region 8 - National Flood Insurance Program
FEMA is updating the National Flood Insurance Program’s risk rating methodology through the implementation of a new pricing methodology called Risk Rating 2.0-Equity in Action. Diana Herrera, FEMA’s Region 8 Flood Insurance Liaison, will cover what’s changing, what’s staying the same, and how the agent’s application process will be simplified. The new methodology leverages industry best practices and new technology to deliver rates that are actuarially sound, equitable, and better reflect the property’s flood risk. Come learn all you need to know about the changes and participate in class discussions. P&C agents are provided free CE credits for their full attendance at the in-person session.
