Welcome to lab (lifestyle, artistry, business) a training program for single owner operators, small business owners and entrepreneurs. What is LAB? A program designed to help individuals at any level (students + professionals) better understand the business of barbering + cosmetology. Often we put a lot of effort in being great technicians that it doesn’t leave much time to be great business owners. Who should join? Anyone who feels they need training on how to start or grow your business, planning, finances, selling, branding, marketing, recruitment, retention, clienteling, content creation, advertisement, operations and more. Why you should join? Community- meet individuals who are likeminded and share your interest. Network- build relationships with other members of your profession along with companies that provide goods and services for your business. Education- Get information specifically tailored and focused on barbershops + salons. Meet your instructor: Lu Garcia Reynoso founder of Barber Society Organization and Modown Barber Exhibit. Has been in the barber + beauty industry for 10 years and has traveled around the country and internationally teaching individuals how to grow their career. Her passion for the industry and the craft is one that translates in a big way. Her experience working for companies like Nike, Marlboro, Yakult, Tommy Hilfiger and Ecko along with years in the hospitality/entertainment industry allowed her to merge both the corporate and independent worlds together to create a grass roots movement that has members from around the world.
