GUEST SPEAKER: Almera Mahmood Almera is a finance leader, board member, investor, wife and mother. After graduating from Loyola University with two degrees in Finance and Accounting, and a minor in Economics, she began her career in corporate transactions in the consulting sector. A few years later, she got married and moved from Chicago to Indianapolis and continued her career at a manufacturing company. While working, she completed her Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Finance from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. From there, Almera spent time in the technology sector and then went back to manufacturing for a few years. Today, she serves as Prolific’s Chief Financial Officer, focusing on risk management, forecasting, reporting, and leading the organization in achieving its financial targets. She is also a Tobias Fellow and graduated from the Tobias Leadership Program at Indiana University. In her free time, she enjoys running, interior decorating, baking and spending time with her family and friends. She is passionate about economic empowerment for women and the journey of self-growth. A first-born daughter of immigrants, she worked hard and paved a path for herself unique to her strengths. Through that process, she learned the importance of investing in herself.
