Following an unprecedented burn-out, our founder Kate decided to break away from her stressful life and embarked on a trip to Tibet to pause, reflect and heal. It was there that she witnessed the remarkable transformation that native Sea Buckthorn and Goji Berries did to her sensitive, acne-prone skin, and was then inspired to share their unique healing and restorative benefits to others. And so, Akar Skin was born.
