Old Pasadena In-Person Walking Tour featuring northern Old Pasadena and historic alleyways. We are once again offering regular tours of Old Pasadena on the first Saturday of April, and continuing every other month. Each tour will have a slightly different route and theme so each tour will be slightly different. April’s tour will include the northern section of Old Pasadena, beginning at Memorial Park and walking south through several historic alleyways. This tour features the ruins of Pasadena’s second library, a historic theatre that is now readapted as condominiums, and perhaps one of the most controversial preservation stories regarding an entire block that was saved. Old Pasadena is a shopping and dining destination, but without Pasadena Heritage, this National Register Historic District would have been destroyed! Now it is one of the finest examples of downtown revitalizations in the country. Let one of our trained docents lead you through the historic district and reveal its many hidden and unusual architectural details, old alleyways, and historic signs. Tours last approximately 1 hour 15 minutes and cover nearly 1 mile.
