This 2022 Patagonia film showing will take place at the Merill's Roxy Cinema in Burlington in partnership with Community Action Works. All ticket proceeds will go right to this amazing organization.About the film's content: Patagonia Films presents a feature documentary about the inhabitants of Newtok, Alaska, a village that needs to urgently relocate due to climate change. Scientists warn that communities like Newtok are only the tip of a global wave of climate refugees we should expect to see as the climate crisis impacts more parts of the world. This story reflects a larger goal of educating Patagonia audiences about climate justice issues. We will engage with our community by offering a clear call to action that will benefit the people of Newtok. Watch the trailer here. Come join us for this film which is roughly 1.5 hours long in the comfort of a true movie theater. Doors open at 6:30pm and the film will start at 7pm.
