Now is the time to prune your fruit trees! Come and learn from experts who will help you learn the skills to do it at home yourself. If you would like to learn pruning techniques, brush up on pruning skills, ask questions about pruning, or just get out and enjoy a spring day, this workshop is for you! The Marion Parks Department, Trees Forever, and Linn County Master Gardeners are hosting a Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop at the Lowe Park Urban Orchard, 4500 North 10th Street, Marion, IA, on Saturday, March 26, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. We’ll be pruning apple, cherry, pear, plum, persimmon, and serviceberry trees. If you have hand pruners, lopping shears, or pruning saws, please bring them along and otherwise we’ll provide some for you. There is no cost for this class but registration is required. Please dress for the weather!
