Description
Taquito is a wonderful dog! He loves absolutely everyone he meets and is just a joy to be around. He both loves to play but can be a couch potato.
As you can see, he is a tripod so will have a few special needs throughout his life. One of those being joint supplements to help keep his joints strong and a healthy diet to ensure he doesn't become overweight and add pressure to his front leg. Otherwise, tripods get along just as well as other dogs!
Taquito came to us with a nasty injury (we are happy to share photos with you personally or you can find Wags Hope and Healing on Facebook to see a few more in his album) on his front leg, it was an injury he had lived with for quite some time before he was surrendered to a partner shelter. While he wasn't in any pain due to the nerve damage, we knew that he needed to be seen asap and within a week, our Veterinary partners had scheduled him to have it removed. Boy, what a difference. His personality really blossomed and Taquito is one of the happiest dogs we have had in the rescue.
He loves everyone he meets, he loves the company of other dogs and can play all day long (if he wasn't resting due to recovering from his surgery). His sutures come out on February 10th, we will then be neutering him and he will be ready to go home shortly after!
We are now taking adoption applications on Taquito! Just fill out the adoption questionnaire at www.wagshopeandhealing.org/adopt and one of our team members will be with you shortly!
