A place to learn, enjoy, and be inspired
Since 2016 our goal at Valley Wood Park Waterwise Garden has been to create a demonstration garden to show visitors alternatives to water hungry lawns. We hope to inspire and educate our community about trees, shrubs, and flowers that can be grown in our high desert environment using 50% less water than lawns. As our region is experiencing less rainfall and higher temperatures we need to learn how to create beautiful urban landscapes in a sustainable way.
2022 tours are lead by Tom Stille, Horticulturist. All tours start at 10 am and end at 11:30 am
