We are family owned and proud to work closely with vendors, customers, and our internal team to provide the highest quality meat and the most trusted customer service. We are looking to add a new member to our warehouse & shipping team as we have been understaffed for the last couple months. The Warehouse Associate will perform routine manual and clerical work involved with receiving, filling orders, stocking, and general warehouse duties. On occasion, the Warehouse Associate may be asked to perform delivery duties. Candidate must be able to work from 6:00am - 3:00pm. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Reports directly to Logistics Manager • Fast-pace, independent position which involves lifting, lowering, and carrying boxed meat • May be asked to fill in for a delivery driver on occasion FUNCTIONS: • Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts items received or distributed. • Prepare parcels for mailing • Maintains quality service by following organization standards. • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. • Completes reports by entering required information. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Operate company power equipment in accordance to company policy and procedures. • Operate company truck in accordance to company policy and procedures. • Physically unloading and loading delivery trucks As a driver substitute: • Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors. • Deliver customer orders to restaurants and markets within established time frame • Establish and maintain excellent relationship with customers • Ensure customer delivery questions are accurately answered REQUIREMENTS: • 21+ years old • Must have high school diploma or GED • Excellent customer service skills • 2+ years of paid driver experiences preferred • Flexible work availability preferred • Must have knowledge of San Francisco, South Bay, and surrounding areas • Excellent driving and mapping skills • Must be able to drive in all weather conditions • Ability to work safely and quickly in fast pace environment • Clean driving record • Neat and professional appearance required • No viable tattoos of an offensive nature • Well-trimmed facial hair on male drivers is acceptable • Must have clear criminal record, driving record, and drug screen PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Frequent standing • Able to work at cold temperatures in a refrigerated environment • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds-Frequent maneuvering in and out of delivery truck. • 2-handed lifting, pushing, and handling • Sustained squatting, kneeling, stooping, and bending
