In 2018, California voters approved a 27 cent increase per gallon for adding lanes on major highways. And then they made the extra lane a TOLL LANE. Plus Covid was used as an excuse to prolong the undertaking as contractor's felt compelled to milk this job for all it is worth. Ironically, when gas hits 10, 15, 20 bucks per gallon, you wont be seeing the congestion that warranted the work. Too baaaahd.
