Description

Hi there, I would love to find my two sweet girls a loving stable home with access to a large part of the living space and an owner with a stable income (ex: an adult over 25 with children over 12 would be ideal) (No single rooms, college dorms, situations where they will be cramped or moved around often) these gals need space to free roam! I want to find someone serious about the ~10 year commitment and the expenses, cleanup, vet checkups, etc that come with them! They may be considered *small pets* but they are just as taxing labour wise/upkeep wise as dogs! Only difference is you don't have to walk them, they go in a litter box, and they kinda just nap all day like cats :) Super active at night so be prepared for midnight zoomies!! (This is why having a large space is nice so they don't bother your sleep) Thanks again folks and message me if any questions come up. Details: Lucky for y'all the biggest expenses of rabbit owning has already been payed for! They are both neutered already (this cost me 1400 total) Being fixed means they are non-aggressive and non-territorial. They are a bonded pair and are only to be given away as a pair. It is absolutely necessary for them to stay together as they need each other to be occupied and happy while you're away at work most of the day. Rabbits are meant to live in groups naturally and they live longer and are less depressed this way! Can't stress this enough! NO EXCEPTIONS! Ideally I would love to keep in contact with the new owners and see that they are being taken care of well and that they are not separated. If that's something you can't provide, even a text once a year, then please look elsewhere. These girls are my everything. I just can't afford them anymore on minimum wage. Aphrodite - Big girl! 13lbs. Spayed. Litter box trained. RHD2 Vaccinated. Microchipped. Super sweet and loves gentle head pets. Will give you kisses when she trusts you. Sheds a LOT. Needs weekly brushing. Submissive. Magenta - Small girl. 6lbs. Spayed. Litterbox trained. A little skiddish but loves pets! Cute little hairdo. Dominant. Rescued off the street (hence being a bit skiddish) but definitely domesticated and loves being pet and will approach you once comfortable! To note, you are signing up for the following when you agree to bringing these living creatures into your life: Weekly vacuuming (fur, hay, twigs and crumbs from food and chewing toys) Bi-weekly (minimum) litter box change Weekly grooming (brushing) as they molt throughout the year (lots) Daily fresh greens provided, full bowl of fresh water daily, pellets, chew toys for their always-growing teeth, and UNLIMITED HAY Yearly checkups and RHD2 vaccines Daily love and attention and pets! Plenty of room to run around- either a large bedroom or full house access Ideally, a pen outside somewhere where they can safely graze and dig and expend energy Very big commitment of time, energy, money, etc. Not suitable for someone that already struggles to take care of the bare minimum (myself being one of those people) I'm exhausted! Please don't underestimate the energy needed for long-term success I would say after the upfront cost of supplies, their monthly PetSmart bill ends up around $100, and this is without the cost of hay (I have a large bale of hay I've been chipping away at) If all these bases are covered, please send me a message! I'd love to chat and answer any questions. If you decide to take in my precious girls, I will happily donate to you all my current supplies including; Large litterbox that fits them both Large pet carrier that fits them both Pink pet stroller that fits 1 rabbit at a time (super cute and you can take them on little excursions like to the pet store) Hairbuster brush A little over half of a bale of hay... I've used less than half of the hay bale in the last year! Containers for pellets and hay storage Whatever toys and treats I have on hand at the time Medium sized rug Total of 3 large play pens that can be used to section off rooms and portions of a backyard area/house to keep them safe from wires and paper you don't want eaten! ...I will happily give these all away knowing it will make your "startup" that much easier and you can start building a routine with ease! Thanks for considering! Sincerely, Bunny parent
