We will celebrate Downtown KC and the community's vision for its future. 2022 Downtown KC Annual Luncheon The 2022 Annual Luncheon will track progress stemming from the rollout of the Imagine Downtown KC 2030 Strategic Plan last month. The Imagine plan will serve as the primary vision-setting and policy blueprint for shaping a stronger, better, more resilient community with an unflinching commitment to creating an equitable, inclusive, and vibrant Downtown Kansas City. A special highlight of the luncheon will be a panel discussion on how sports and entertainment activate downtowns and connect communities. Mayor Quinton Lucas will share his thoughts on the future of Downtown Kansas City. We will also celebrate and honor community leaders with our Kirk Civic Leader Award and Urban Hero Award recipients. The event will begin with the Spirit of Downtown Kansas City, a networking exhibition highlighting businesses, cultural and non-profit organizations, and new developments.
