Ready to learn about growing veggies in the Tucson summers? Then this workshop is for you! Join us for a 90 minute workshop focusing on all the ways to successfully grow summer vegetables in the Sonoran Desert. This workshop will take place in two areas of vegetable gardening in the Pima County Master Gardener Demonstration Gardens. Participants will learn from Master Gardeners in our Raised Bed and Basin Edibles gardens. Topics to be covered include: soil, choosing your site, raised beds, basins, growing in the ground, and composting. Participants will bring home a newly transplanted vegetable start as well as a selection of seeds for your summer vegetable garden. Coffee will be ready by 9, so come early and grab a cup before we get started.
