Description

Come celebrate being TGNC with us through reflective workshops, silly photoshoots, and learning about the badass work in our community! SAGA Event Guidelines: All SAGA events are anti-cop spaces, as we strive towards visions of abolition! <3 If conflict arises or in cases of an emergency do NOT call 911. Alert a SAGA representative and we will assess what the individual(s) may need/want. Also, please refrain from wearing/brining strong scents (i.e. perfumes, incense, candles) to help us create a more accessible space and please no open carrying. Thank you! Who: TGNC folks and close fam/friend allies What: Music; free tamales by Mariposas Sin Fronteras; Black Market BBQ food truck; Tucson Hop Shop's beer, wine, and cold brew selection; 3 free workshops ("Pots for Thoughts;" "Self Curation Station;" "Transcestors Coloring Pages"); free 15min massages by Mo Turner and Jessica Morrissette; free swag bags; 7 community partner information and vending tables (Thompson House Tucson; Mariposas Sin Fronteras; The Outlaw Project; Black Indigenous Medicinal Apprenticeship; @DiAnDviation's art; @_HomeGrownStone's art; RHAP at El Rio) Suggested Donation: This event is FREE. However, if you have the means to help contribute to SAGA's work of uplifting gender euphoria and TGNC BIPOC artists, our suggested ticket donation is $10-$25/person. Where: Tucson Hop Shop; 3230 N Dodge Blvd H, Tucson, AZ 85716 When: Sunday March 27th @2-6pm Why: To highlight TGNC folks' accomplishments, beauty, and wisdom, and bring awareness to issues TGNC folks face and all the rad work goin on locally Covid Safety: Most of the space is outdoors and the indoor space that will be available will have huge garage-type doors for air circulation. We require that folks wear masks unless eating/drinking. We will also be providing KN95 masks and hand sanitizer. Parking: Parking is free and first come, first serve. There is a parking lot within the Metal Arts Village, as well as ample street parking. Accessibility: The entrance tabling and seating and indoor seating is wheelchair accessible with a small ramp to get up the curb. The back patio is packed with small gravel. The bathrooms are wheelchair accessible, have hand-rails, and are gender inclusive. There will be free water and food available. There will be music and speakers on microphones at varying noise degrees that could get loud. We will try our best to ask folks not to wear overwhelming/abundant scents/perfumes and refrain from lighting candles/incense.
