On farmschool days, we welcome our community homeschool families and groups* to spend the day with us! On farmschool days, we welcome our community homeschool families and groups* to spend the day with us! On our March 23rd Farmschool Day, we will be: -joining together to explore rhythm, nature's music, and create our own outdoor symphony -practice active listening for music and rhythm in nature -crafting our own musical instrument from natural/recycled materials. At-Home extension topic ideas: soundwaves, decibels, the anatomy of hearing, rhythm & timing, music in Deaf culture, how various instruments work to produce unique sounds, history of music/instruments of ancient civilizations, materials used to make ancient instruments, how to make instruments from recycled materials, etc. While you're here, pack a picnic lunch, feed the animals, enjoy the fresh air and let the kids explore and play! Admission is $5 per adult and $10 per child if engaging in the homeschool day activities. Participating children will be given a wristband. A wristband is REQUIRED to participate in any of the farmschool day activities. Please show your ticket at the gate to receive your wristband(s). No refunds, exchanges, or "rain checks". Tickets valid for March 23rd only. *you do not have to be a homeschool family to participate, however our farmschool days/hours are set to primarily accommodate a homeschooling schedule.*
