Drivers work every Monday and Thursday morning--to include holidays: We have an immediate opening for a Route Driver in Monterey. The area covered will be Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel, Carmel by the Sea, Pebble Beach and Seaside. The route will begin by meeting a driver in Marina to transfer the bags to you, and you will continue on to complete your route from there. You will start at 1:30 AM on Mondays and Thursdays until the route is finished, which must be complete no later than 8 am. There are between 30-50 stops on the route, depending on the day. You must have a knowledge of Carmel by the Sea area where the addresses are identified differently, and be able to find the correct location. We are looking to fill this position immediately. This is an intermediate driving position, not for a beginner. Please respond to this ad with your experience and we will send you additional information. Also looking for a 2 backup drivers - you will be guaranteed 1 shift per week which could be in the Santa Cruz area, Monterey area, South Bay or East Bay. This position will transition to a regular route after you have been in it for a few months. This is a beginner position with a good sense of direction and the ability to follow direction. This is a great gig for an early riser looking to make some easy extra income using their own vehicle. Our drivers earn minimum $20/hr or MORE, plus a generous gas reimbursement. Here’s some details: • Deliveries are made every Monday and Thursday EARLY MORNING; all stops must be delivered by 8:00AM. --Shifts start as early as 1:00-4:00 am and last until your last stop is completed. • No customer interaction - drop off order on customer's front porch and pick up the empty bag from the previous delivery. Drive to next stop. Repeat. • Routes are preplanned using our proprietary navigation software that optimizes your route. No waiting for your next fare like Uber- your route is pre planned and guaranteed money. • The route drivers are self-employed and you are paid $20/hr. or $3 per delivery, whichever is GREATER. • Gas reimbursement is based on round trip mileage of your planned route. • Are you comfortable driving in rural mountain roads on occasion? • Are you comfortable driving city streets when it’s dark? • Can you find an address in the dark? Driver Requirements: • Must be 21 or older • Must have a vehicle with driver's insurance under your name, a valid California drivers license, car registration and a clean driving record. • Smart phone navigation, as well as the ability to communicate via phone if needed during your route. • Requires a serious commitment to be dependable and deliver on time. You must be available every Monday and Thursday morning, including holidays. • Deliveries should be made with a sense of urgency. Delivery driver experience preferred, but will consider anyone.
