We invite you to a gathering of individuals from the Metro Detroit area who are actively involved in or support Employee Ownership. The Michigan Center for Employee Ownership along with the Center for Community Based Initiatives and Detroit Community Wealth Fund invites you to a gathering of individuals from the Metro Detroit area who are actively involved in or have expressed support for growing Employee Ownership in Michigan. What will be presented at this session: The opportunity to expand employee ownership given the number of private business owners are moving into the retirement phase of life – also known as the Silver Tsunami. Our progress to date, planned initiatives in 2022, and engagement opportunities to expand the employee ownership community. Hear from groups that are providing economic opportunities through Worker Ownership initiatives in the Detroit region. University of Michigan’s Economic Growth Institute employee ownership educational program. How you can become more involved in various initiatives to grow the number of employee owners in Michigan and help the region reap the benefits of such efforts.
