Petrus (Pieter) A Venter, a Des Plaines resident, is a 2020 graduate of Notre Dame College Prep. Pieter went through 13 weeks of recruit training at MCRD San Diego and graduated on Friday October 16, 2020 with the rank of PFC. He graduated from 3rd RTBN, Lima Co, Platoon 3245. He will soon go on to his next stage of training. Pieter was inspired to join the USMC following in both his great grandfather and uncle's footsteps.
