Description
WESTFORD, MA — The Town of Westford's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has released a survey to determine whether they will rename Columbus Day to Indigenous People's Day.
Westford would join many Massachusetts cities towns, including Brookline, Cambridge, Somerville and Amherst, that have all exchanged Columbus Day for Indigenous People's Day in the past few years.
The survey consists of two questions to gauge residents' opinions and why they sway one way or another. To take the survey, click here.
Columbus Day is celebrated annually on the second Monday of October.
