Description
ok so i invested in a hitbox tig/arc welder, the tig part needs argon gas, so i ordered a argon tank and a argon regulator, now the welder came with a hose and a couple hose clamps for the argon gas connection, the regulater came with a gas line with gas fittings on both ends, they are kind of like mini propane fittings.
so this us where im needing a little advice. what would be the proper way to connect the welder to the regulator. do i buy a fitting to fit the regulator to the hose and hose clamp it. it does not appear that i can change on the connection on the welder side.
at the moment i have it coming off the welder with the hose and clamp and have connected that to the argon gas line by way of a gas fitting connected to a piece of copper tubing where i have hose clamped the hose from the welder.
i dont know how much preasure im sapost to have from the argon tank to the welder yet, i am just learning this tig welding. i am self taught with a flux core wire feed and with a stick welder. but this tig is all new to me, as well as the use of gas when welding.
really dont want to blow myself up on my first try. hoping there is someone with a little more knowledge on the subject that can help me out.
thank you
