BURLINGTON, MA — Gas service is being shut off to a neighborhood after a leak was reported. Burlington police said around 10:10 a.m. there was a gas leak at Ward and Birchcrest streets. National Grid said disruptions should be minimal, but the gas shutoff will effect home heating. It's 36 degrees in Burington.
