The City of Groton Police Department is scheduled for a file review to begin on March 17, 2022, which will culminate in assessors visiting the agency on Thursday, April 14, 2022, as part of a program to achieve Tier I, Liability, reaccreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.
Administered by the Police Officer Standards and Training Council, the state accreditation program requires agencies to comply with standards reflecting the best practices of the law enforcement profession.
As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments. Comments can be made by mail to William E.
