Here are the top stories in Boulder today: Louisville is to going to allow residents to opt out of green code. The City Council in Louisville unanimously voted to direct city staff to create a plan that will allow fire victims rebuild to the 2018 standards instead of the more stringent 2021 code. The new code included a raft of environmental-friendly requirements that reduced the carbon footprint, but adds significant costs to the construction. Tenants at the Bell Flatirons apartments have been dealing with an unresponsive management company after their apartment was damaged from the smoke from the Marshall Fire. (FOX31)Rocket set to crash on the moon. A spent rocket booster is set to hit the surface of the Moon at 6,000 mph on Thursday. As part of the experiment, NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter will move into position to get an up-close view of the impact site and shed light on the physics of planetary impacts. Colorado oil and gas regulators are overhauling the rules in hopes of making sure there's money to clean up orphan wells that have been left behind by drillers.
