Holy Angels School Returns With Annual Seraphim Ball Fundraiser

AURORA, IL — Holy Angels School is hosting its 16th annual Seraphim Ball fundraiser Saturday. Taking place at the Paramount's Meyer Ballroom in downtown Aurora, the "Casino Night"-themed event will raise money to fund new document cameras and projectors. The gala, open to student parents and community members, will "celebrate and support a school committed to the spiritual formation and education of children in the Fox Valley area for over 100 years," organizers said in a news release. Almost 500 students are enrolled at the Aurora school, which offers education and extracurricular programs for students in preschool through eighth grade. The school also has an extended care program that offers supervised care from 6:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour, starting at 6 p.m. at the ballroom, located at 8 E. Galena Boulevard. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. and casino play will go on from 8:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Here is a full overview of the schedule for the evening: 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. — Cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. — Silent auction 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. — Premium open bar 7:00 p.m. — Dinner7:30 p.m. — Live auction8:15 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. — Casino play People who can't make it to the in-person event can participate in the silent auction virtually by making donations, purchasing tuition credit raffle tickets — each $100 — and registering for remote bidding access at $20 per person. The live auction will be available only to in-person guests. Auction items include destination getaways, luxury items and services, tickets to Chicago area attractions and gift cards to local businesses and restaurants.
