Let’s cut straight to the point - Lomeli’s Landscape is located in Roseville, California and that’s where 99% of the work will be taking place, so residency in Roseville is preferred. Starting out, this will be part-time with 20-30 hours per week on average. So if you are looking for full-time work immediately, this is probably not the right gig for you unless you have additional skills to offer, such as design or landscape construction skills. However, this position is extremely flexible and independent. Let’s talk about the specific job requirements: GREAT COMMUNICATION -Above all else, you MUST be a great communicator. We don’t expect you to be perfect, but we always expect direct and immediate communication with the customers and other team members. Reliable - We expect you to meet the customer’s needs in a timely and eager manner. You will need to be detailed and organized. Honest - When someone lies to make themselves look better or avoid getting in trouble...that is much worse than whatever mistake you may have made. We have ZERO tolerance for dishonesty and believe in growing from our honest failures (We all make mistakes). Coachable - When someone claims to know everything, we know they’re full of crap. If you are not 100% sure how to do a task the way we want it done, just ask. We want you to bring your skills to the table, but you also must be willing to adapt to doing things the way we see best fit. Basic Landscape Construction Knowledge - Although this is not required, it will make things a lot easier if you already have a base knowledge in landscape construction. Technologically Proficient - You must be comfortable with working with files on your smartphone and computers. Basic knowledge and proficiency in Google Suite and Excel are preferred. This would be a perfect job for someone who enjoys the balance of being out in the field with some work from home. There will also be a lot of face-to-face interaction with clients, so you have to be comfortable and confident meeting new people. Although this job is fun and flexible, you must also be good at following processes and instructions.
