Friends of Mark Edelson (FME) is seeking individuals interested in assisting the campaign with direct voter contact through canvassing, phone calls, and other voter contact methods. The associate will also be responsible for data entry and other quality control and best practices to ensure field data integrity. The associate will be a valuable member of the campaign team and is welcome to participate in strategy meetings and discussions, particularly pertaining to field. The associate will also have the opportunity to complete a non-field campaign project if they are so interested. Job duties will include: • Engaging in direct voter contact activities to include door-to-door canvassing, phone calls, and other voter contact activities. • Entering data into NGP VAN and flagging potential issues. • Staffing field and community events as needed. • Assistance with the overall field program, as needed, to include voter-to-voter letters, text messaging, and other items. The ideal candidate will have: • A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for organizing and working with people. • A strong attention to detail. • Strong organizational skills. • Familiarity with NGP VAN and Microsoft Excel. • Familiarity with Zoom, Facebook Live, and other virtual communication software. Hours of Work and Compensation: • Voter Contact Associates will serve on an hourly basis at a rate of $15 per hour. Compensation may increase based on merit and additional job responsibilities. • Voter Contact Associates must be able to commit to at least four hours of work per week. Associate should be available on nights and weekends, as needed, to assist with voter contact efforts. The person in this position may often walk through the district for door-to-door canvassing events. Candidates should have access to reliable transportation or transit.
