Summary: Under moderate supervision, sets up and operates machines to form, deburr, and head work pieces to specification by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities:
Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
Performs basic operation of equipment to produce to rate and meet quality standards.
Sets up and operates forming, deburring, and heading machines to create sleeves or other products.
Monitors machine operations to determine whether adjustments are necessary; stop machines when problems occur.
Performs housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and orderly workstation and performs basic machine upkeep.
May perform lubing, bluecoat, gritblast, sleeve washing, or packaging as needed.
Required Skills:
The ability to read and write English.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints and procedure manuals.
Ability to use math skills to solve problems.
Experience and Education:
At least 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of experience and training.
Must have knowledge of shop practices and procedures, ability to read blueprints, and ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments.
