Looking to connect with someone who is affiliated with a rescue. I was notified by a friend of mine who works for the Champaign Co Sheriff's Office that they were getting ready to put down a 1 y/o female who was surrendered by her owner. She had been there since 1-18 and they typically do not keep animals more than 14 days. The deputies had grown attached to her since she was so sweet and were waiting until the last minute to find her a home. I went and picked her up on Monday but we cannot keep her long term. Here is some info on her: She is approximately one year old (unknown if spayed) Surrendered by owner, unable to care for any longer (the deputy assumed financial reasons) Housebroken, she waits by the back door when it's time to go. Crate trained, although she sometimes requires some encouragement. Very sweet and friendly. I have four kids and they all love her. Good with my other two dogs although she's still getting used to one of them. Unknown on shots/vaccinations. Didn't have a name but we've been calling her Kat
