Description
TITLE: Retread Technician SUMMARY: The Retread Technician will be responsible for performing all aspects of the re-treading process, as well as quality control. The retreading process starts when old tires are received into the facility. These tires are dismounted and cleared of any tubes, flaps or valve stems. A safety inspection of the tire is then performed. If the tread passes inspection, the old tread is then buffed away, and a new rubber tread is applied to the bare "casing" using specialized machinery. After curing the tires in a chamber to secure the new tread, a final inspection is done with any branding or painting to complete the process.
