Well established and respected family operated company centrally located in Columbus for over 75 years is hiring a Mig welder. This is an entry level temp to hire position for a welder knowledgeable in mig welding. Ideally candidates will receive a significant raise when hired on full-time after 90 days. You will be an integral part of the manufacturing process, so consistency is key. You must attend all scheduled shifts and show you are punctual, able to follow directions, and are eager to learn. The perfect candidate has some fabricating experience and is able to prep parts, read plans, measure accurately using a tape, and use different grinding methods (angle grinding, belt sander, ect.). This is a spring-board position; perfect for someone just starting out or wanting to make a change. Do you have an interest in learning Tig welding? We will train you while you work. This is an incredible value to anyone who has thought about attending a course or enrolling in a program to teach this skill. Compensation: Compensation base will be determined based on your experience. Pay raises are given frequently if you are meeting your benchmarks and consistently putting out quality work. Pay raises are often given during the temp period for employees who meet the above requirements! Once hired on, raises are given readily based on your annual performance review or more frequently based on merit. Those employees who bring great value to the company are compensated to reflect that! Steel toed boots are required and Candidates must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
