Casey Anderson grew up in Hood River and has been an in demand drummer in Portland for the last 10+ years. Most recently he was the full time drummer for blues legend Curtis Salgado, playing festivals across the globe. He has also played with The Quick & Easy Boys, Jujuba, Haley Johnsen, Dirty Revival, Soul Vaccination, LaRhonda Steele, Lloyd Jones and many more. In addition Casey has studied with some of the top teachers both locally and nationally including: Motown and jazz legend Mel Brown, Alan Jones, Bruce Becker (L.A. teaching legend), and most recently Dave Elitch (drummer for Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, The Mars Volta) as well as studying drum tuning with Kenny Sharretts (pro drum tech for Stevie Wonder, Janet Jackson, Train, Dead & Co, and many more). Casey is extremely passionate about teaching and incorporates many modalities beyond drumming including breath work, nervous system regulation, meditation and mindbody connection to help both beginning and advanced students connect to life and the instrument. No matter the skill level, Casey makes playing drums accessible for all levels and age groups. Lessons are offered via Skype or in person.
