South Bay Cities Council of Governments On Monday November 30, 2020, the South Bay Council of Governments held a special meeting to discuss the latest LA County Public Health Orders. As a result of the special meeting and unanimous direction from the board, letters were drafted yesterday and sent to the Governor and the County Board of Supervisors on behalf of all South Bay cities, including Hermosa Beach, requesting an alternative method of determining health order restrictions--primarily requesting that the South Bay be regarded as a sub-area within the County, whereby South Bay case rates are used to determine health orders impacting the South Bay.
