Discussion of infrastructure and development at Port Tampa Bay by Jose De Jesus (Director of Engineering) We are excited to host the following guest speaker for our next luncheon on March 8th : Jose de Jesus, PE, M. ASCE, LEED AP BD+C Director of Engineering Port Tampa Bay The topic of discussion is: “Engineering Infrastructure and Development at Port Tampa Bay”. The presentation will first feature the economic impact of the Port of Tampa Bay on the West and Central Florida market and how the Capital Improvement Program supports the region's ongoing growth. As these capital projects are reviewed, Jose will discuss the engineering considerations for deepening the navigation channel to improve ship movements and building land reclamation facilities to increase available cargo area along with upgrading container cranes and crane-related infrastructure. Jose will also highlight key projects both recently completed and under development.
