Join us as we kick off Child Abuse Prevention Month with a Car Parade starting at the Oregon State Fairground Pavilion.
We are excited to partner with the Marion County Community Services, City of Salem, Boys and Girls Club, CASA of Marion County, Family Building Blocks, Salem Keizer School District, Marion County Sheriffs Office, Liberty House, Blue Ribbon Brigade, Marion County Health and Human Services, Options Counseling, ODHS, Catholic Community Services, Exchange Club, HOME Youth & Resource Center, and Early Learning Hub to offer our first Child Abuse Prevention Parade on April 1st, 2022.
Our goal is to bring awareness to a very prevalent issue in our community. In 2020 there were 11,642 reported victims of child abuse and neglect in Oregon, of which 1,171 were victims in Marion County. This is a great opportunity to take a stand against child abuse, and help to bring awareness to our local community.
Below is the schedule for our first CAP Car Parade as follows:
-7:30am - 8:05 am meet at the Oregon State Fairground Pavilion to decorate your vehicle. Supplies are included!
-8:15am cars leave to drive to the State Capitol Building
Thank you for joining us and bringing awareness to this issue!
