Venice is Sinking Masquerade Ball is celebrating its 13th year in 2022! ATTEND A MAGICAL MASQUERADE! Have you ever wanted to attend a real Masquerade Ball with all its mystery and splendor? Then you'll want to attend the 13th annual VENICE IS SINKING MASQUERADE BALL in Seattle! We're partnering with Defrost Dating to bring the singles to this fun and beautiful event. Upon entering the Ball, guests who indicate that they are "single" will have a red ribbon tied around their wrist, so you can easily spot each other at the Ball. Defrost will have a Singles Lounge where you can mix and mingle with other singles, so you have someone to dance the night away with -- or just make some new friends. Guests MUST wear a masquerade mask (covering their eyes) in order to gain entry to the Ball! (You can also paint one on, but make sure it's exquisite!) Attire is formal (gown or dressy cocktail dress, tuxedo/suit) or 18th century period piece costumes (bustier ball gowns, white wigs, Baroque style). A MASQUERADE COSTUME STORE IN REDMOND has a large selection of masks for purchase and costumes to rent. You can also get a wig there if you choose to go that route; or have your mask painted on there. www.AMasqueradeCostume.com --------- Doors open at 7:30pm where there will be ambient performances by stilt walkers, acrobats, dancers and more. Costume Contest starts at 8:30pm and goes until 9:10pm -- Contestants strut their stuff down the red carpet and enter the atrium and promenade in front of guests. You'll get to case your vote for your favorite costume. Then... There's non-stop entertainment from 9:15pm until about 11:30pm; with a new act every 15 minutes! Performances include: aerialists, pole performers, opera singer, violinist, musicians, dancers and more. Then, at around 11:30/:45 the DJ takes over and we dance until our feet can't take it anymore (or the clock strikes1:30am, whichever comes first :) Included in everyone's ticket is a visit to the exquisitely decorated DESSERT ROOM, filled with petite four cakes, macarons and bite-sized desserts. Gelato is also included! *****GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS @$100 **********FOOD TRUCK: we are working on securing a food truck who will sell outside the venue. You can bring the food inside to consume. ************SOLD OUT: COSTUME CONTEST: Enter the costume contest ($10 per person) and arrive a bit later than everyone else (8:30pm) to walk the red carpet and be immersed as part of the entertainment of the event. You'll present yourself to our distinguished panel of judges and guests will be able to show their admiration for your costumes too. There will be one winner for BEST FEMALE, BEST MALE AND BEST COUPLE costume! ************DRINK TICKETS: There will be several no-host bars throughout the venue serving beer, wine, bubbly, vodka and whiskey. Guests will purchase drink tickets to exchange at the bar for drinks. Both cash and credit will be accepted. ****Please tip your bartenders!
