As a engineer, you will ensure we are welcoming our visitors in a beautiful, clean, and friendly environment. Our guests will rely on your knowledge of the hotel and its procedures, and we are confident that you will provide them the best experience. This is a FULL time position. Did we mention this hotel is on the beach! The Accountabilities/Duties: Perform maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public area and exterior. Respond and attend to guest repair requests, plumbing issues, minor repair such as painting and patching holes. Preventative maintenance through hotel logging system. Clean public areas, and employee areas in a timely and organized manner, attention to detail is key. Comply with all hotel policies and procedures and with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested including on-site projects, and additional support roles. The Qualifiers: Education: High School Diploma not required. Experience: 2 years Knowledge of basic maintenance engineering. Knowledge of engineering standards and methods, materials, and equipment. Knowledge of and compliance with the operation of all mechanical equipment. Proven customer service experience. Ability to effectively communicate in English. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Presents oneself professionally, in line with higher education environment. Experience in fast-paced hotel environment. The property has many stairs, no elevator. Must be okay with stairs.
