Press release from the City of Jackson: October 9, 2020 Press Conference Today Spotlights the Week's Events Celebrating JPD's Partnership with Faith Communities (Jackson, MS) – The City of Jackson Police Department, along several Jackson-based faith coalitions, will participate in the first annual National Faith & Blue Weekend. JPD Chief James Davis and others will share important news and highlights on Faith & Blue today at 2pm at 327 E. Pascagoula St., Police Headquarters. "The mission of the National Faith and Blue Weekend — is to facilitate safer, stronger and more unified communities by connecting law enforcement and residents through local houses of worship," said Chief Davis. "We understand that no one knows a community or understands the unique qualities of a neighborhood better than those who live in it. That is why we are honored to work with our faith partners as they are the heart of many of our communities." Faith & Blue events are open to community members and will run through next Monday afternoon.
