1st Presentation: Implementing Esri’s Utility Network by Greg Meyet from POWER Engineers
2nd Presentation: How the Heck Have I Accumulated all this Stuff! Cleaning Up a Dataset that I have been Working on for More Than 25 Years by Steve Johnson from Orem City
Description: In 1996, the City of Orem established a stormwater utility and creating a GIS map of its infrastructure was a key component of ensuring compliance with federal and state stormwater regulations. During the 25 years since then, our original node, conveyance, detention and impervious shapefiles have morphed as they have been consumed by desktop mapping, web services, hydrologic models, inspection standards, accounting standards, history management and asset management software as well as myriad changes in staff. Each of these changes was usually accompanied by adding a field for this and a field for that. This discussion is about how I hope clean out and streamline our data without losing anything important along the way.
3rd Presentation: Utah Lake History by Joe Crawford from CUWCD
