Professor Davis of Purdue will discuss nature writer Rachel Carson's legacy and wonder in our interactions with the natural world. Professor and Head of the Department of History at Purdue University, Frederick "Fritz" Davis, will discuss why the wonder of nature is especially important in these times. Dr. Davis will invite participants to learn more about environmentalist and writer Rachel Carson’s legacy, her ideas about wonder, and the role wonder plays in our own interactions with the natural world.
