Enjoy a socially-distanced evening watching your favorite movies, outdoors under the Texas sky.
Shakespeare Dallas presents Movies in the Park! An outdoor screening at the Samuell-Grand Amphitheater of The Karate Kid (127 mins.)!
Daniel (Ralph Macchio) moves to Southern California with his mother, Lucille (Randee Heller), but quickly finds himself the target of a group of bullies who study karate at the Cobra Kai dojo. Fortunately, Daniel befriends Mr. Miyagi (Noriyuki "Pat" Morita), an unassuming repairman who just happens to be a martial arts master himself. Miyagi takes Daniel under his wing, training him in a more compassionate form of karate and preparing him to compete against the brutal Cobra Kai.
Gates will open at 7:30pm and our movie starts at 8:15pm. Guests will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis. Here are a few tips to make the most of Movies in the Park:
• We encourage guests to bring a blanket, lawn chairs and pack a picnic. Sand chairs are available to rent.
• Those 21 and over can bring and consume beer or wine (responsibly, of course) at the Amphitheater.
• Free parking is available.
• Tickets are $15.00 if pre-ordered and $20.00 at the gate. We have 1 "VIP Pavilion" section open each night at $175. This allows for up to 10 guests to sit in our central, covered seating area. The pavilion includes off-ground seating and counter space for ample picnicking!
