Do you want to help cats? The best way to help cats is by keeping cats out of shelters or off the streets is by addressing the root of the problem. There are far more cats that need homes than there are good homes for them. The best way to help curb the overpopulation of homeless cats and cats sitting in shelters is to get active in doing Trap-Neuter-Return aka TNR. We have a huge need for more people to start doing Trap-Neuter-Return themselves in order to keep up with the amount of cats that need it. We have two groups dedicated to helping cats through educating people about Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). There is information on how to go about getting started with doing TNR, where to get traps, how to set traps, what the process is for getting free roaming unowned cats spayed and neutered through the TNR program, and many other resources. We have many experienced members in these groups that will be more than happy to answer any questions and help point you in the right direction. We have a group on Nextdoor as well as a group on Facebook. We highly recommend joining both groups as each platform may be able to reach one group of people that the other may not.
