FORCLT and the Charlotte Institute for Faith & Work are excited to welcome Dr. Matthew Kaemingk to share about his recently released book, Work and Worship: Reconnecting Our Labor and Liturgy. We will then use his findings as a baseline to lead a round table discussion over lunch (open to all pastors) to discover practical ways to leverage Sunday morning worship to unleash your members as everyday missionaries.
The cost ($10/person) helps pay for lunch and we are encouraging lead pastors to invite their teams to participate in this discussion. The hope is for those who gather to not just learn, but engage in dialogue around how to re-imagine ways to shape our Sunday morning liturgies.
A bit about the speaker:
Matthew Kaemingk is the Richard John Mouw Assistant Professor of Faith and Public Life at Fuller Seminary, where he also serves as the director of the Richard John Mouw Institute of Faith and Public Life. His research and teaching focus on marketplace theology, Islam and political ethics, and public theology.
He earned his Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary and holds doctoral degrees in systematic theology from the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and in Christian ethics from Fuller Theological Seminary.
