Description

We're honoring Women's History Month with two vanguards of modern day social justice movements. Women have always been active in movements, often behind the scenes and not getting the recognition they deserve. We're honored to have two women who are at the forefront of two of the most important movements in recent history. What unique perspectives do they bring in their movements? How has movement building changed due to the advancement of technology? How were they inspired? The structure of this event will be about 45 minutes of discussion with Alicia Garza and Olga Miranda followed by an audience Q&A. We hope to help solicit a more collaborative discussion and hear the diverse stories in our city. Manny's never turns away anyone for lack of funds.
