The Native Youth Conference will focus on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being of our Native youth. The primary goal is to develop leadership skills, to bring cultural awareness and to teach students how to succeed academically through hands-on activities, workshops, and training sessions.
Special guest speaker and presenters will offer challenging content to help students build community by learning to deal with issues such as suicide, drug and alcohol abuse as well as workshops on money management, tribal law, tribal scholarships and tribal colleges. Students will be able to choose from various cultural make-and-take activities by local artists. Students will leave better prepared to be a positive contributing member in their school, family and community.
