The incident in which George Floyd lost his life is heartbreaking and tragic. Our hearts go out to the Floyd family and all grieving Mr. Floyd's death. When incidents like this occur, we take a critical look at our own training and approaches to delivering police services. The techniques depicted in the video are not in line with the training we provide our officers. The Hillsboro Police Department is committed to equitably serving all members of this community, and we welcome open dialogue from all community members.
