STONEHAM, MA — Stoneham police officers will be wearing a special patch next month to promote autism awareness. April is Autism Awareness Month, and officers will be wearing autism awareness patches on their uniforms. Residents can buy Stoneham police autism awareness patches at the police station for $10 or by mailing a check to Erin Sinclair, 47 Central St., Stoneham, MA, 02180. Proceeds will go to "Light it Up Blue," a local nonprofit that raises awareness and acceptance for people with autism.
