Join the Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone on Wednesday, March 10 at 4:00 p.m. for conversation, cocktails and appetizers! The Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone is inviting you to join us for an in-person BIZ Connect on Wednesday, March 10 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at The Brakeman! We'll hear from seasoned business owner Herb Strather, President and CEO of Strather Associates, Inc. who will share about getting through and thriving during hard times. Cocktails and appetizers will be provided. The Downtown Detroit Business Improvement Zone (BIZ) creates a clean, safe, and vibrant Downtown through services provided to property owners, businesses, residents and employees. The BIZ works in collaboration with the Downtown Detroit Partnership (DDP) and is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The team is dedicated to enhancing the overall appeal of the Downtown Detroit Central Business District. BIZ services include hospitality, cleaning, a robust lighting program, safety, parks maintenance, urban planning and business outreach and engagement that benefits Downtown patrons, visitors and stakeholders. The financial contributions of Downtown property owners through a special assessment allows the BIZ to serve the Downtown community. The team also provides access to resources, events, and timely information regarding all things happening in the Downtown in relation to local businesses.
