BUFFALO, NY — A JetBlue pilot was pulled from a plane at Buffalo Niagara International Airport after a breathalyzer test revealed his blood alcohol content was more than two times the legal limit, according to multiple reports.
James Clifton, 52, was removed from a plane after a Transportation Security Administration official noticed he was "acting drunk," ABC 7 reported, citing the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority.
Clifton was immediately given a breathalyzer test, which registered his blood alcohol content at 0.17, NBC 2 in Buffalo reported, also citing the NFTA. The legal limit in New York is 0.08.
JetBlue flight 2465 was bound for Fort Lauderdale, NBC 2 reported.
Clifton may face federal charges, according to both reports.
