EAST HAVEN, CT — East Haven Mayor Joe Carfora stopped by Momauguin, Tuttle and Ferrara schools Wednesday to read to kids as part of Read Across America Day. A Dr. Seuss fan, Carfora wore his Thing 1 shirt and picked out a Seuss book to read to the children at Momauguin. He noted in a Facebook post that the kids are "always full of surprises and great questions." Next stop was Tuttle School, where it was "Backwards Day." Then to Ferrara, where Carfora and the fifth-graders, talked, laughed, and read.
